In case you were wondering what the large mud pit - alongside Chatteris Avenue - is for, we are starting to see the beginnings of the new staff car park. As part of the main works taking place along Faringdon Avenue, the staff car park is being relocated.
We had no idea quite how much excavation would be involved, and some very heavy duty drainage systems. We hope to take ownership of the car park from the end of April as the current one is poorly surfaced, uneven and on a slope. The Haynes & Smith team can then get on with re-landscaping that area at the front of the school so that it joins in with the new building.
