Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th after school clubs have been cancelled as we have parent/carer open evenings.
No Strike Next Week:
There will not be a strike next week – we were never likely to close, but now it is certain we will be open all week
End of Day Collection
The school day finishes at 3.15 pm and we respectfully request that you collect your children promptly. If for any reason you are late, please collect your children from Pine class. You will not be permitted to collect from the office or walk through the school building. The gates will not be closed until 4 pm so please exit the school via the normal route.
Diary Dates:
On Monday and Tuesday we have the first Parents’ Evening appointments of the year. The meetings will take place in the classrooms. Nursery parents will be able to see the teacher at a separate time which Miss Taylor and her team will arrange. Leigh Hobbs – an Australian Author – is visiting next week on Tuesday. He will be spending time with each of the Year groups and talking to them about his drawings and stories. KS1 have their Road Safety Workshop on the Wednesday afternoon. As part of our recognition of Black History Month, we will be having an African Dance workshop on Thursday morning. Next Friday our Year 1 pupils are off to Barleylands for their school trip and our School Nurse will be holding another one of her drop in sessions.
Sharing Assembly: Pine & Mulberry 9.05am Wednesday 15th October
To ensure that every class gets to share their work, we have had to double up some of the assemblies. It won’t be too long until Christmas rolls around and it means that we lose some dates for Sharing Assemblies. As a consequence, Year 1 are doing their assembly together this term. We look forward to welcoming parents and friends assembly next week.
End of Half Term Date: Thursday 23rd October
A reminder that all children are expected to attend for every day of the school term. There will be another INSET day on Friday 24th October – when the school will be closed.
