Attendance Update

Attendance:

Overall last year we had a success story in terms of attendance and punctuality. The final figure for the year was over 95% and lates were at an all-time low. Thank you for the effort you have made to achieve this. Without your children in school we can’t help them progress in their reading, writing or maths. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that:
  • Parents and carers should ring the school on the morning of the first day of absence to let us know if your child is going to be off through illness
  • If your child is suffering from vomiting or diarrhea they should not attend school until 48 hours have passed since the last incident
  • No holidays will authorised during term time unless there are truly exceptional circumstances.
Mrs Taylor will closely monitor attendance and contact you if a pattern of absence/lateness is noted so that we can offer support and keep you informed.
If necessary the Educational Welfare Officer will be informed

So that we can help and support you, please ensure we are kept informed of your family circumstances.
