Fact Hunters: Peanuts, sharks & sweat!

Did you know that peanuts can be used as an ingredient for creating nitroglycerin (explosives). The acids that make up peanut oil can act as substitutes for some of the acids used in formulating nitroglycerin.

Incredibly snails are able to change their gender. They can decide whether to be a male or female snail. This helps them to reproduce more effectively.

Incredibly you can still have a child with blue eyes when both parents have got brown eyes. This is because the blue gene is recessive.

The normal human being sweats around 278 gallons each year. This is said to be enough to fill up the gas tank of three jeeps! Your feet have over 250,000 sweat glands. That’s a lot. The sweat from your feet is actually odorless. It’s the bacteria that thrive in the dark, humid, oxygen deprived shoes that create “stinky feet.”
