1. Tesco Jobs at Rainham:
As you may know Tesco have announced that they will be opening their distribution centre in Rainham this summer. The warehouse, when fully operational, will employ around 750 people, mainly as warehouse team members and drivers.
This is a great opportunity for Havering residents to find work with a major employer in the borough and we would really like your help to let local people know what’s available.
We have already arranged a series of briefing sessions for Havering residents who want to find out more about the distribution centre and the jobs on offer. The briefing sessions will take place in the Town Hall on 11th April and 12th April and will take place throughout the day.
Residents must book a place if they plan to attend a briefing session. Places can be booked by emailing jobsinrainham@havering.gov.uk or telephoning 01708 43 44 77.
Each session will last one hour and includes some information about the free support Havering College and Havering Adult College can offer people interested in applying for jobs and who also need a bit more help with a job application, particularly the first stage which is an on-line psychometric test.
Finally if you know of any Havering resident interested in the jobs and who wants to apply without help they can do so by going to the Tesco careers website – www.tesco-careers.com and clicking on the ‘Working in Depot’ heading.
2. Harold Hill Small Grants -

3. Harold Hill Summer Festival:
The Festival, occurring on Saturday 6th July 2013 in Central Park promises to be another fun packed family event, with a variety of activities including circus skills, donkey rides and lots more. The ever popular stage will also be hosting a variety of local talent. There will be the opportunity to meet the festival’s mascot, Harry the Squirrel.
