Fact Hunters: Materials, fossils and hair!

Did you know that the T-Rex dinosaur used to have 60 teeth? If I would you I wouldn’t get too close as they were very sharp!

Mason has been investigating what different things are made from. He has found out that making bricks includes: getting rid of all the lumps in the clay, adding water and using sand to help the clay out of the mould and to give the brick its colour.

Amazingly the colour of your hair affects how many hairs you actually have. People with red average around 90,000 hairs while those who are blobde have an average of 140,000!

Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system. In fact it is almost 318 times bigger than the Earth!

Did you know that the Fennec Fox are the smallest types of fox to be found in the world? They live in Africa. It is a nocturnal animal with very large ears – which help it listen out for predators and its dinner.

Although our planet is called the Earth, over two thirds of the surface is covered in water – 71.11% to be precise. However only 3% of that water is fresh or drinkable.
